Trump has shown reasonable people in America regardless of political affiliation that we are not exceptional. We suffer all the same ills of societies before us in dealing with the negative attributes of the human animal. Selfishness, ego, manipulation and evil are all attacking the American democracy. He has also shown that there is no place for negotiation in dealing with this threat. The Republican party is incapable of correcting itself and Democrats must understand that bipartisan efforts are in fact empowering to those breeding fascism.
