Respecting Republican Will

We have all heard the cry for unity after the Capitol Riot coming from Republican politicians and we have also heard that 74 million Americans voted for Donald Trump. So what are we to do as a nation? After all it is the Republicans who are now the thing they loathe, a minority.

After four years of Republican rule we got an overpriced wall, child separation at the border, a dying economy and a failed pandemic response. Oh I nearly forgot massive tax cuts for the rich that did nothing for the average American.

I have no interest in providing these things in the future but I do have a couple of ideas in the spirit of “respecting the will of those 74 million Republicans.”

Every single Republican politician ran against additional stimulus for the American people and 74 million Republicans voted for it. I propose that if the Democrats and Independents are able to provide additional stimulus monies that all registered Republicans be excluded from receiving it. After all this is what they voted for. Therefore their will is respected and implemented. All hail unity. But wait there’s more.

Every single Republican politician also voted against a $15 minimum wage. Again 74 million Republicans voted for those politicians. I propose that if the Democrats and Independents are able to pass a $15 minimum wage, all registered Republican…
