It’s Hard to Sell a Shitty Product…Just ask a Democratic Voter

Ah yes the election is over and Joe Biden has won. Let the self-serving congratulatory circle jerk begin. This election was won by a tight margin and Democrats are acting like it was a landslide. So why wasn’t it? Well here are my opinions why it wasn’t.

1. You can’t sell a shitty product. I was chatting with a fellow progressive who stated that she could not in good conscious vote for Joe Biden. I began to start my speech in an attempt to convince them to vote for Joe and she interrupted me and asked “Why?” I looked at her opened my mouth and was about to say “to save America” but stopped. At 53 I can no longer be a cheerleader for the Democratic Party. I literally have nothing to say to sell the party because I don’t know what the party stands for anymore. Is it just “Not Republican”, is that all there is anymore? If so this is pathetic. Anyone with any marketing savvy knows if you run comparative advertisements you are selling your competition as you sell your product. If I want a Porsche I will buy a Porsche and not what General Motors’ version of a Porsche is. So in conclusion Democrats need to stop selling their version of Democratic Republicanism. As a Democrat I can no longer sell this shitty product I no longer believe in.

2. The “Or else!” strategy has run its course. The power to the powerless strategy…
